Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookDisapproves of CEOI have been working at L.E.K. Consulting full-time
Pros
- Fun, social colleagues - Steep learning curve and will come out with more technical skills than other other consulting firms
Cons
- COMPENSATION, without a doubt. We are not competitive with other consulting firms and management tries to lie to themselves that we are but open your eyes because we have problems with recruiting top talent because our compensation is not competitive. Promotion raises are minimal as well as, and a major factor for our retention problem -HR is terrible, they don't care about the needs of the employees - Allocations - Upper management does not seem to care about any of their Associates, who are the driving force behind this organization - No work life balance

RecommendsPositive OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI have been working at L.E.K. Consulting full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
L.E.K. runs teams lean compared to other consulting firms, meaning all team members will have meaningful step-up opportunities and more responsibility / ownership relative to their peers at other firms, earlier in their careers. The work is generally interesting, and the learning curve is steep. This job will keep you learning and challenged.
Cons
Work / life balance seems worse at L.E.K. relative to other firms, because of the lean structure. Most projects are under-staffed. There is almost zero time on the beach in between intense projects (maybe a day or two... a week max if you're very lucky, vs. other firms seem to have longer / more consistent stretches). In addition, L.E.K. does more due diligences than other consulting firms, contributing to more intense / short projects with worse work / life balance. In addition, there are no systems / processes in place to retain talent that is burned out. Staff can go part-time or on sabbatical, but that is not an attractive or long-term solution.
