Where do I even begin, Working for Karcher Canada was the worst carrier decision I made in my life. So much so that it will effect me probably rest of my professional life. I will explain it in a bit as why I am saying this. Let me start by telling you a little bit about my self, I am young professional who worked hard in every position I have ever been. I have allways been headhunted by companies because they heard about me or my work through someone. Karcher was no different, I was in a good company and doing really well for myself. That all of a sudden Karcher posted a job as a regional sales manager for Alberta (Canada). I was contacted by someone in the industry that the hiring manager for Karcher is looking for someone to fill that position, so that manager got my information and contacted me. And persuaded me to come work for this company and they are in desperate need for help. This is where I made a WRONG DECISIONS of my professional life by thinking of working for them without doing my research. Now prior to this I had worked with Karcher's other brand so I know as a company they were good. Solid product line, innovative and technologically advanced. Anyway now I joined the company, I worked for Karcher for 7 months and here is my biggest problem 1) Absolutely No product training what so ever. ( I am going to show a equipments rainging from $300 to $125000, with no product training. The advice I get go watch YouTube videos before doing demo.) 2) No help from the rep who was working previously on my territory, if I have to guess he left the territory uncared-for before I joined as he didn't wanted to put effort in it. As he was moving to a different role within the organization. ( By saying this I don't want to say all of them were bad, some of them were actually very helpful. But probably 70% of them were not great to work with.) 3) Within 4 weeks of me joining the company hiring manager (who head hunted me) quit the company as he was tired with the management. 4) I worked another 5 months without a supervisor or a manager to tell me if I was doing thing right or wrong. Absolutely no feedback what so ever! 5) No bonus updates, basically till my last day I asked for information on my bonuses but I didn't get any update. Even till my compensation negotiations HR promised to provide me with the information but nope, did not get it. 6) Finally my supervisor was hired, a great guy knew what he was doing. Promised to help me get through tough times and help me grow. Comes and meet me for the first time, hands me my position elimination letter. Now here is the best part, he let's me go on Thursday and the next week on Monday he was let go of his position. So the time I was there Dealers not happy. Sales team not the happy. No business plans. No management support. No HR support. No compensation details. No technical support. Head of marketing was let go, director of sales was let go, VP of sales was let go, and I was let go. (That is what I know so far) It was a nightmare working for Karcher Canada. Now because of Karcher every job I will apply they will question as why I only worked 7 months. I would have to explain because management made bad decisions and as a result, cost cutting and my position got eliminated. PLEASE PLEASE IF YOU DO DECIDE TO WORK FOR KARCHER CANADA. DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!!!!!

Karcher is indeed a brilliant company, I started within the customer service call centre, ensuring the best service to all customers, extra effort was always given to offer a happy ending to all. I then moved to the contract hire team, with management over the pubic wet and dry vacuum project, in addition i maintained the direct marketing project, promoting the services of our hotel scrubbers. I really enjoyed all the challenges, and experiences that where offered. The management team share the spirit of the early founders of the company, indeed a company who owes its growth to a strong Lady, Mrs Karcher built this international company from her much loved and missed Husbands inventions, and she did it in a time when men dominated the business world. Truly a family business, Mrs Karcher would invite her international Managing Directors to a Christmas meal, that she cooked at home.. A great lady, A great company, A great CEO.
