    Pros

The environment is one of support and development, and the company is dedicated to bringing their employees to a better place than when they began working with the company. Not only is JOEY Restaurants interested in the career development of their employees, they also focus on personal goals, physical health and community.

    Cons

The only thing that I can think of that could be a negative thing about working with JOEY Restaurants is that the company is growing quickly and expanding significantly each year, so for those who don't like change, it may be challenging. That being said, challenge is good.

I have been working at JOEY Restaurants full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fundamentally different atmosphere from a BoH perspective regarding opportunities for growth and development. The career tree is much more detailed than other establishments which is a breath of fresh air. BoH is considered a core element of the restaurant.

    Cons

Your ranking within the differentiation can affect your experience as an employee. Not necessarily a con company wise but it will affect your experience as an employee.

    Advice to Management

Use company leverage in buying power to be a industry leader regarding health benefits for hourly employees.

I worked at JOEY Restaurants (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It was a fun environment and you get to meet a lot of new people as the turn over rate is high.

    Cons

Sous chef's can get all high and mighty on you very frequently. Over the busy summer months the prep team (myself included) were forced to work 12 hr days with no over-time as they made us sign contracts.

    Pros

Tips can be really good once you start getting bigger sections and longer shifts. Fun place to work , awesome people, flexibility in shifts

    Cons

It is run by under qualified managers mostly who are more concerned with meeting quotas than they are about their actual employees. Hire mostly based on looks. No opportunity for growth
