What is it like to work at Innovation Networks?
Feb. 1, 2023 - Tier I Technical Support in Richmond, BCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
It is a job. And it may just keep food on the table. If you are just starting out and you want to show you worked in IT. No problem.
Cons
You will learn very little here. They throw you in at the deep end. Lots of stick no carrot.

May 27, 2021 - IT Technical Support Specialist in Vancouver, BCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great environment to work. Excellent support structure. Fellow employees were like family.
Cons
They could have had more staff to support us at times. Some of the clients can be very demanding. And the work is always changing, you must constantly adapt.

The best job I've ever had
Nov. 18, 2020 - Anonymous Employee in Vancouver, BCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Since day one, I felt very welcomed by the team. The nature of my job makes me work very closely with upper management and because of that, I can tell that they really care about the staff - ever since the pandemic, they've tried to do virtual activities and keep the team engaged and motivated. Personally, I feel encouraged to grow and develop, and this motivates me every day to keep studying and learning.
Cons
Sometimes it's hard to be a very "people person" in a very technical environment! IT professionals tend to be very direct and that might lead to miscommunication *usually for lack of details).

A great place to work
Aug. 6, 2016 - Senior Support Engineer in Vancouver, BCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great location but still close to Vancouver, plenty of free parking, variety of technologies to explore through the clients' infrastructure, totally approachable CEO and managers, good team to work with, great career prospects and free training. if you are applying for a junior tech, you will have the chance to learn from helpful senior engineers and get valuable experience (and salary increases - provided you get some certs too). If you are applying for a senior tech, you will have a good team to work with. If you are applying for managerial positions, you will have the best CEO to report to!
Cons
As most of the MSPs I have worked for, there are some points that could be improved (for example better project coordination (especially if the team is growing fast). innovation networks has a steady growth and the managers are doing everything possible to achieve the best performance, keeping the staff happy.

Great place to learn, not good long term.
Feb. 27, 2013 - Remote Support Tech in Richmond, BCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
There is a personality test in the interview. If you have the right personality they will hire you with little previous experience or certifications. They are good at teaching new techs. Lots of different clients ensure you get a wide area of experience. Stays interesting for the first year or so.
Cons
After about a year and a half there is not much more to learn. High turnover means you can be a senior tech very quickly. It was a great learning experience but there is little reason to stay after that. Its frustrating having to clean up after new employees mistakes all the time.

Best place I ever worked.
Aug. 5, 2016 - Remote Support Engineer in Richmond, BCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Family type environment, great team work. Helped provide some of the best tech solutions of my career. Got to work on new technology, and always changing environments. Team took the time to share and teach.
Cons
Some employees took advantage of the managements good will. Bad long term clients that put undue stress on the day to day of the environment. Few bad employees made environment negative when management was not around. Great place, didn't know how good I had it until I left!

Lots of potential. Not the right mix of people.
Aug. 4, 2016 - Remote Support Engineer in Richmond, BCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Many good techs and great place to learn. Get to work on almost anything for all the clients. Great people on management team.
Cons
Too many fires to put out and a few bad apples that get away with anything. No salary increases and lots of on-call and after hours work. Not enough staff.
