Upper management are all trying and failing to be the next Steve Jobs.

      Pros

The software teams themselves are actually trying to continue to improve and get better as individuals and a unit. Including soliciting advice from both inside and outside the company. They are the ones driving success, not c level leadership. The company cares about work/life balance. Flexible hours and vacation help that. People up to my product director we’re very willing to take honest feedback and also give it. I felt I got career and personal growth because of their input, but I had to be proactive to receive it. Day to day, most work is at the dev team level, and was a good experience for me.

      Cons

Every 3 months upper management will spend an entire day telling the entire company about some new paradigm that one of the big 4 are using and that we’re now going to adopt to drive us to success like they have. The topic is then never mentioned again, but the expectations of improved performance remain. When upper management talk, the ratio of meaningless buzzword to actual substance is 20:1. My individual team was short at the product owner level, so it was really hard to get clear direction on projects, often leading to re-written code and wasted time.

Once a Great Company....Headed for the Trash Heap, Thanks to Management

      Pros

The software is top notch and the people I work with are terrific. I used to rave about this company and look forward to coming to work. That was then,,,

      Cons

This is Now...Since the purchase by Thomabravo, the work/life balance has disappeared. Reviews and raises are based on factors that employees have no control over and employees have become pawns in a numbers game. Management sees no problem in having us travel for six days in a week, four weeks in a month, with no compensation. Raises are calculated based on billable hours, which are assigned by the project managers, and the VP buries his head in the sand and lets anything happen, so long as his numbers look good. Professional Services is headed for an implosion on a large scale and upper management is content to let it happen. Stay as far away from this company as you can get,

      An honest Review

      Pros

A great team ethos at ground level, with like minded professionals working together for the greater good. Good camaraderie between employees at ground level across all departments.

      Cons

      - An ever changing policy/process company - Recent acquisition has caused major upset and no real guidance for the future - Company employees seem to be leaving in their droves due to management upheaval - Above ground level employees the blinkers are on, and its all profit profit profit and the bottom line. - Management have no care for the employees and get treated like workforce slaves with no credit. - No progression in roles unless you are in the US office. - Salary is not in line with the regional average for the role - Lack of respect and honesty between upper management and lower workers. - No sense of corporate direction - Lack of new products globally to maintain market leadership - Looks like the company is being stripped of its assets and then sold off. - Drive and ambition has whittled out all the way through the company for employees in general

      Imprivata Response

      Chief People Officer

Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry to hear that there is some cause for concern as a current employee since the acquisition. We are continually working to improve our training and development programs for the growth of employees. Just last year, we had a record number of transfers and promotions globally. Internally in the HR team, we have put programs in place that support work life balance. Clearly there is a disconnect with what you are hearing and experiencing and I am happy to discuss all of your concerns further, please do not hesitate to reach out. Growing fast, but with a pervasive culture of mistrust

      Pros

      * Certain areas of the business are growing quickly. * Fun events are planned for employees. * Benefits are above average. * Lexington office facilities are top-notch.

      Cons

      * Hours spent in the office are valued over results achieved and contributions made. * Some managers are quick to point fingers and unwilling to hold themselves accountable. * Employees are not always treated as professionals with expertise in their fields, but rather as cogs in a wheel. * The HR infrastructure has come a long way but is still lacking in key areas. Benefits are above average, but some benefits (like "unlimited" vacation) are communicated inconsistently (or not at all) among managers and departments. * No channels are available for employees to provide anonymous feedback to upper management or HR.

Poor leadership, Little appreciation to Innovation, None HR practices

      Pros

Great company if you want to spend time with family - very little pressure or urgency to get any work done.

      Cons

Poor leadership and upper management. Little appreciation for folks who wants to think outside of box or bring innovative ideas --- management is OK with current waste, doing last minute fire drills on customer issues and not focusing on core product development. One of the worst HR practices in place in the industry, no support to existing and former employees

      Think twice

      Pros

Some very smart and nice people.

      Cons

Too much managing up to do and very little autonomy for employees. Upper management has little idea on what is actually happening. Lots of finger pointing promotes a culture of fear. Long hours with little appreciation. Lot of turnover. Little concern about their employees, no support to employees. Employees have little opportunity to expand and grow. So far disappointing.
