    Pros

Flexible work hours, challenging assignments, ability to travel

I have been working at Imperial Oil full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Very stable company, safety is #1 and strict adherence to standards.

    Cons

ExxonMobil influence (degraded training standards, work/life balance is poor, expected overtime often without full compensation), performance ranking system discourages cooperation and risk management work selection often drives easy decisions VS. "the right one".

    Advice to Management

Listen to the results of the survey (not just what you think people meant... and if you think you are now, you still aren't!) Stop cutting the maintenance budgets and revisit B:C thresholds. Pay people for their time...

I have been working at Imperial Oil full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Growth focused, Organization culture being transformed to be more inclusive.

    Cons

Old traditions die hard, so still have strong conservative culture around business risks. Refusing to let an outdated relative and adversarial employees ranking and appraisals system.

    Advice to Management

Fully Let go of the old systems of working. It may have served you well in the last decades. It will not in the near future. The times are changing.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Imperial Oil full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

salary is comptitive with other companies

    Cons

    - company not that open to diversity - what they tell you during the interview never matches the actual experience once hired - All that glitters is not gold - Very political, club-like, you can only succeed if you are able to join the club
