    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Imperial College London for more than a year

    Pros

High-impact institution, knowledgeable faculty, a lot of services and opportunities for students and postdocs.

    Cons

High competitive environment, management expects high standard that require from most people working long hours and during the weekend. Work environment is bad because the buildings are old and worn, with asbestos warnings, some older buildings have offices that are small and overcrowded (for phd students and postdocs) with no ventilation and no air conditioning. Rents in the area are among the highest in London, requiring most people to commute or to live in extremely small shared accommodations.
