I worked at Imperial College London full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Give food in meetings and when they make you work long inhumane hours.

    Cons

-Very long hours. If you don't you will be looked down on. -Allergy and Immunology lab is the worst to work in, a lot of pressure of work. You would prosper better in other labs. -You will not be able to work on your own given project -The first authorship in this lab usually is very favourable as you are required to work in a team. Even if you do most of the work, it's very likely that someone else would get acknowledged. The PI of the lab works as a post-doc and treats post-docs as technicians. The professor is clueless about the lab as his eyes and ears are the PI. -Be very careful when you join this lab as the references may not help you in your next role.
