    Government Job Pension UNION Saturdays - 1.5 Pay Good if you are hungry to grow

    Cons

    Stressful Work Irate Clients almost all the time Hard to book off, its by seniority and people have been working there for 20-30 years

    I have been working at ICBC (Canada) full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Defined benefit pension, few places have this but you need to be there long term to benefit.

    Cons

    Weak leadership - finance leader is weak. After dismissing a long term CFO in 2016, ICBC has had a series of CFOs with limited or no expertise dealing with people There is virtually no diversity ( no women or non white male) senior leaders. All women have left

    Can take public transportation to work

    Senior leaders are perfect examples of the the Dunning-Kruger effect Leadership is unwilling to listen to feedback There is complete lack of moral philosophy Senior leaders reward incompetence and have a complete lack of accountability There is no support for staff and front line managers Frequent bullying and harassment Executive are more concerned with self-promotion and self-interest than their employees
