I have been working at Hudec Dental full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Get a paycheck, -----but what you will have to endure to get it.

    Cons

This has been the most unprofessional dental environment I have ever worked in. From the absolute top of the food chain to the management level there is an atmosphere of stress and belittling that permeates from them. There are regular belittling rants that get emailed to "providers" always in a lecturing, rude, belittling way. Never get email when things are good or you have gone above and beyond. They are really out of touch with what actually happens day to day. Kinda hard to humanize a spreadsheet....just saying. If you are a new grad, a Dental assistant, Hygienist, EFDA, or Dentist this place will love bomb you to get you (example: current $5,000 sign on bonus for Hygienist etc....) However, once employed you see the real deal, 30 minute cleanings with up to 16 patients per day in some Hygienist schedules. Gossip is the norm between management that goes from office to office. Medicaid patients seem to be the bread and butter of the majority of their 19 offices, but behind the scenes these patients are looked down on, even moved if a cash or regular insurance patient is available. This place will suck your soul and make you rethink why you went into dentistry. They try to say it is a family practice, but it follows a corporate model and if you don't produce to their sometimes unrealistic expectations then watch out. BEWARE.

I have been working at Hudec Dental part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Good community reputation. They will offer bonus per production but this will carry over into the cons

    Cons

The owner yells at the staff and treats them less than human. They will lock the licensed staff in at a beginning rate and keep it at that rate. So the part where the pro comes into the cons realm. The bonus they offer for production will be used against you when u ask for a raise. So the benefits they offer you health etc.. Pto. Profit sharing etc... They will include that factored into your hourly pay when asking for a wage increase. Here is the catch. The benefits they offer you will be included into your hourly pay when you ask for a raise. So if you tell them the area pays 20 an hour per experience etc.... They will find a way to average out your benefit in which they offer to each employee btw. And come up with your hourly pay avg. When factored in. Sad but true. Have the written proof. Any beginning lawyer etc .. Would eat that up. An easy win for them. But it's not worth the headache. Great name, great group of people that work there. They are dedicated even when the owner yells at them and makes them feel low. Forgetting that they started somewhere at some point.

I worked at Hudec Dental full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

I worked here for about 6 years and had an exceptional experience. I loved my practice, my colleagues, and my patients. The leadership team saw promise in my abilities and groomed me to reach my maximum potential. I was hired to support practices remotely over the phone and grew to manage the daily operations of my own practice in no time. Dr. Hudec provides a generous benefits package, paid holidays, and lots of other perks! I relate a great deal of my current professional success to lessons I learned during my time with Hudec Dental.

    Cons

Every business has pros and cons. The key to being valued and respected at work is to remain solution focused, put in the hard work, and be realistic. The biggest con for me were winters in northeast Ohio!

I have been working at Hudec Dental full-time

    Pros

The job itself is good I get great joy with helping patients. Dr Hudec has a great service .

    Cons

Poor management, vindictive, retaliatory, favoritism. These people just get transferred around and and their rein if terror continues. If you seak up the manager gets vindictive. She does not treat people with the respect they deserve. If she comes to work in a bad mood ,it's going to be a horrible day. She cannot separate work from home. Dr. Hudec needs to look under the hood to see the real injustice taking place with his employees. Please do a anonymous servey .It is the only way we can voice our concerns without retaliation. Please hear our voices

I have been working at Hudec Dental full-time

    Pros

Paid holidays and they offer fun incentives throughout the year to win tickets to events, gift cards, ect.

    Cons

Lack of upper management. Upper management postitions are constantly changing or leaving the positions. Its makes it difficult to know who to address for issues. Employees who work hard are taken advantage of, and not provided raises. Company seems to only care about making money and disregards concerns from employees. Company claims it's family oriented but expects employees to work over all the time, sometimes not leaving til over an hour after the close time of the office. Insurance that is offered is terrible. You pay high rates to get minimal medical coverage on HMO and PPO options.

I'm glad you have enjoyed the incentives throughout the year, We know everyone works hard so we try to keep it fun. I would be happy to help you figure out who to talk to regarding your hours, pay or any other concerns. We are not heavy on nights and weekends but do strive to make our patients a priority. Unfortunately when a patient's appointment runs over, it can impact the schedule and cause the staff to be delayed. We strive to give our patients the best possible care and sometimes that means spending a little bit more time with them. We are always striving to get the best insurance rates for our staff. We are very cognizant of the rising costs of healthcare and do everything we can to try to minimize that cost. I would love to talk to you about your frustrations and make sure that your concerns are addressed. I assure you that Dr. Hudec and the rest of the management team at Hudec Dental care very much about each and every employee. My email is etennant@hudecdental.com.

I have been working at Hudec Dental full-time

    Pros

Amazing people who work really hard and really believe in what they do. Lots of flexibility, leave at 4 on Fridays, for the most part you're left alone to do your job.

    Cons

The owner is a yeller who likes to humiliate people and " put them in their place". It's embarrassing to hear your coworker get screamed at. The walls are thin here. I just keep my head down and hope I'm not next. Some of us have managed to avoid the rath but you never know.

Hudec Dental has absolutely amazing employees. You are 100% correct. From the employees that have only been here for a few days to the employees that have been here for 30+ years, we have benefited from the unique talents of individuals that have all had a positive impact on where we are today. There are many other people who are no longer with us who have also had a substantial impact on the practice as a whole. You, your work and your dedication are truly valued by Dr. Hudec and by Hudec Dental as an organization. We hear your concerns and hope that you will come to the H1 department so that we can hear what happened and address it directly. We do truly want your feedback, the good and the bad. We genuinely hope that you'll come to us for a confidential discussion and that we might be able to use your experience as catalyst for growth. Thank you for being a valued part of the Hudec Dental family.

I have been with the company for over 6 years and I have enjoyed my working experience. They truly care about the patients and the employees! I have always worked for very large corporations and always felt like just another number or face in the crowd... not here! I have grown professionally and the opportunities are endless!

    Cons

Hard to say...I have had a really wonderful experience!
