The customers, being able to meet and geek out with your people The merch (sometimes) Cool coworkers Music, fashion, pop culture Fun as a Sales Associate (esp if you're a teen)
Cons
- Management (DMs and above) not listening to stores or offering support; most even being extremely unhelpful and condescending - Low hours, low pay; management making min wage or sometimes LOWER; Having two jobs is nearly impossible with their expectations yet will not give hours to keep staff. - If you're a CAN store, you get next to nothing in terms of merchandise and you get blamed if you cant match up sales wise. - Loyalty is heavily pushed esp with a lot of customers being young teens; expecting a daily % of 85+ which isn't realistic) - Career advancements are next to impossible unless you're constantly overworking for nothing and kissing up. (which even then you're not valued) - No support when dealing with coworker/customer harassments (esp f*nko/squ*shmallow resellers/collectors) If you somehow become management; expect more work and stress for no compensation and no support. The only plus I can really think of is you might get vacation and sick pay (and its not a lot)

If you shop here often, it's really easy to help people and a great place to work.
Cons
Schedule isn't as flexible if you don't have evenings and/or weekends free.
- Current Employee★★★★★
Pros
Awsome things and cool people
Cons
Wired people coming in and fighting in the work place
- Former Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
A very nostalgic place to work with everything coming back from the 90s-00s. Pop punk vibe and very accepting to any and all individuals! Customers or employees!
Cons
Sometimes with the younger hires coming in it does bring on young "high school" drama. But that's with any retail store I imagine.
- Current Employee, less than 1 year★★★★★
Pretty decent for a teenager

Meeting new people! I don’t like people at all, but this job gave me a new outlook on people.
Cons
January on it gets so slow. I get maybe 1 shift every two weeks. Christmas and summer is when it’s busy.
