I have been working at Hootsuite full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great people and team. Managers on this team are good and most have been with the company for a while. Work life balance is good.

    Cons

After a couple months in this role many people realize it is not what it was made out to be in the interview process. Not many perks or benefits for working at Hootsuite. CAE team is underpaid compared to industry standards

I worked at Hootsuite full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Good work-life balance - Cool company HQ - New hires in satellite offices get to onboard in Vancouver - Easy access to middle-managers, directors and VPs - Ability to sell partner products to increase deal value (Listening, Security etc.)

    Cons

    - Company product is reliant on what social media companies give. E.g. All companies in the industry want the ability to do direct publishing of Instagram Stories, but are reliant on Instagram Public API for that - 5 VPs (and counting) have left since 2019 - Massive layoffs every 2 year - Some decisions seem to go against agenda set during kick-off - Questionable corporate acquisitions (AdEspresso, Naritiv, UberVu)
