I worked at Honeywell full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

-Decent starting salary -Interesting work -Unique opportunities to develop technical skills -Good co-workers, few good managers -Walled cubicles (down to preference) -OT pay -Commuting to work is accessible, traffic around area is not bad at all

    Cons

Where to begin.... -Toxic, high stress work environment -Abysmal, and i mean ABYSMAL workplace morale -Literally no work/life balance. No clubs, societies, recreational leagues. No relationships outside of work. -Lack of accountability, culture is heavily influenced by shifting blame to someone else -Favoritism and nepotism are clear to see -Very top heavy; these positions are occupied by some seriously incompetent individuals -Extremely poor project planning -Not a single program success in the last little while. Profit margins are still coming from products designed years ago by people who have long left for greener pastures. Lack of success comes from terrible decisions made at the highest level -Heavily lacking a young workforce due to their inability to retain young, fresh talent -Many half-baked and failed endeavors to improve workplace morale -Attrition has been high the last few years, especially under current leadership. -No cafeteria serving food -Poor benefits (benefits were reduced recently) -Layoffs are an annual occurrence -Furloughs happen every few years -Site leadership legitimately do not care about you, and value the worth of the dollar more than any contributions their employees make - i.e no loyalty

I have been working at Honeywell full-time

    Pros

Fortune 500 company with global presence , brand name recognized by almost everyone.

    Cons

Kept cutting cost and reducing employee benefits, employee turnaround rate is quite high, no work /life balance and overtime all the time.

I worked at Honeywell full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

There is nothing good to say about working for Honeywell.

    Cons

No compensation. No health care plan. Awful management. Awful HR. No work life balance. Be very careful if you work here. Management is actively following Constructive Dismissal.

I have been working at Honeywell

    Pros

People are good, there are some great programs to work on. Global work environment, a lot of diversity. I don't know what else I can say...

    Cons

Overly process oriented and political environment. Pay is average. Benefits decrease every year, reduction in work life balance. Low morale internally.

I worked at Honeywell full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    - Stable company. - Ability to work remotely (depending on your position). - Great learning resources. - A great "brand name" company to put on your resume.

    Cons

***Please keep in mind that I was "hired" through an acquisition. - Ridiculous bureaucracy. - It felt like an "old boys club". I did not know what a glass ceiling felt like until I worked for Honeywell. - My salary was much less than those who were hired directly through Honeywell; even with equal job responsibilities. Numerous promises to rectify this were never fulfilled. - Management made promises to clients without any concern about the impact on their employees. - Management did not care about their employees' work life balance. - Management migrated jobs to lower cost regions and left their employees to shoulder the burden (misunderstandings due to cultural differences, angry clients, general lack of education on key processes, etc..). - Management seemed to only care about their margins. - There were a lot of disgruntled workers at my location due to various cutbacks. Some who had been with the company for decades. It was tough to remain positive through the daily complaints.

    Pros

As long as you're not an Admin Assistant I would say that salaries are competitive. Also if you are a senior manager then you are treated with respect.

    Cons

There is no work-life balance for most. Leadership is self-serving. Union employees fair better. If you have the courage to stand up for yourself you are labled a trouble maker. HR is more about protecting the company then doing what is best for employee. If you have medical needs, Honeywell does not work with you. Anything you say will be used against you. Performance bonus is a joke and is based on your popularity with your manager.
