I worked at Honda Canada full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Pool cars available for weekly sign out

    Cons

    - Low pay - Zero career growth - No actual engineering work is conducted by employees - The company structure is really messed up, nothing gets completed and different organizations within the company just point fingers and blame each other instead of solving problems. - Good Engineers are on contract for way too long before being offered full time. - People are stuck in the same role for years and are not allowed to move.

I have been working at Honda Canada full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

At Honda you will find steady and predictable work that provides a higher base pay than the majority of the other comparable local options. The company also offers its employees a decent gym, a hockey arena and numerous sports teams to join and after enough time has passed you will have access to a handful of modest benefits packages. It is an ideal environment for anyone without a post-secondary education and provides a decent future for anyone who would be stuck working in a retail environment otherwise.

    Cons

What Honda mfg. does offer is insignificant when faced with the realities of working here: - Certain processes in each zone are gradually damaging to the body which lead to chronic issues later in life. - Sexual harassment and bullying are commonplace and the harasser(s) are always protected if: they are friends with management, have been with the company for a notable amount of time, are popular, or part of one of the the companies many sports teams. - Advancement is slow and almost unattainable unless you are willing to get involved in internal politics. - It is a dully lit and fast-paced factory environment that is unpleasant to be in. - Too many employees are let go or scared off due to backwards policies and internal politics and we will soon all be facing a manpower crisis. - Overtime that takes place over the weekend is demoralizing and prevents you from spending some much needed time with your kids.

    Pros

I am still thinking if there are any pros

    Cons

If you are a robot this place is for you. There are many old timers here who suck at what they do. Infact nobody wants to work here, they are here only for their retirement package... being miserable already.. they like to make lives for others miserable... Honda needs to invest in making more Asimos who can build cars for them and not hire people and treat them like slaves...
