Pros

Healthify is a mission-driven company focused on solving a big problem in healthcare. Most of the employees are socially-minded, hard-working, dedicated problem solvers. The company offers great benefits like free employee health insurance and low-cost insurance for dependents. Transportation benefits are also covered, which is nice when you live in NYC. The team is growing quickly so there are always lots of new teammates who take over responsibilities and positions like product management or marketing that went unfilled. It's an optimistic, hard-working and up-beat place filled with talent and drive to make the healthcare system better.

Cons

There is definitely a lot of work that goes into the work-life balance equation. It isn't overwhelming or stress-inducing but there is always a lot of projects to be completed. The company is still growing so you'll find yourself doing work outside of your traditional job description just to get stuff done. Trainings can definitely be standardized across the company. A new people ops/HR person has been working on it but on-boarding is only one part of training.

Just look at turnover...

Pros

Great intentions. Many bright and kind people on the team. In a space that could use innovation. Diversity is sought after. There are feedback mechanisms in place (even if they don’t result in change)

Cons

Leadership at exec level is inexperienced. HR was great but people management within departments was incredibly thin and inexperienced. Engineering time was incredibly slow, hampered by both inexperience and rapidly changing priorities. Build faster then watch as features aren’t used because of another pivot. Good people are underutilized. Major trust issues between people and between departments.

Pros

-> The company went through a tough time a few months back and there was a period of a lot of turnover for about 6 weeks. Things have gotten a lot better since then. Like, it was very stressful to watch people leave, but also leadership has put together weekly All Hands where they're giving us much more transparent information about the company's financial situation and they're giving us a lot more options to be involved in decision making about things that effect us like our benefits Oh and also we've had multiple training sessions with LifeLabs which has been interesting. And February is "Wellness month" so we've been having a lot of events encouraging us to engage in self-care. Even during the not-so-awesome spots, it's always been fun to work here. The people are A+ and everyone cares a lot. I've learned a LOT.

Cons

Um, maybe there are still issues to be worked out around leadership hiring. We're still waiting on a Director of Engineering. It will be great when that happens!
