I have been working at Hatch full-time for more than 5 years

    Cons

Upper management micromanages, internal promotion not well managed (they will give you the job but not the promotion), 40h per week minimum

I have been working at Hatch full-time

    Pros

Middle management and personnel are the only reason it keeps ticking. When you have the chance to build your team the sky is not even the limit.

    Cons

The protected stock offer secret policy is paternalist and linked to an upper management that is affected by the parkinson affliction. Therfore as the cie evolves it deteriotes and it becomes evident that the only objective is to protect the millionnaires that manage it. In fact the founder knew the risks and once said 《we don't make money at Hatch, it is only a side effect of what we do best!》

I have been working at Hatch full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Excellent middle-management, very helpful and caring. From those who I've had direct contact with, they've all been loved and adored by their employees. It's refreshing too see, in a corporation of this size.

    Cons

Many of the upper-management staff are very disconnected and unapproachable. This isn't the case across the board, but I would say that it envelops the majority.

I worked at Hatch full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Wow this is a tough one. Nice people overall if not in management. Hard to find anything positive to say because there isn't much more to say.

    Cons

Well were does one start. Pompous upper management, meaning Board of Directors. New CEO is full of himself and has zero people skills. The supposed New Hatch and its positive change has yet to be seen. Letting go of good people left, right and centre. Getting rid of younger staff when they should focus on retiring the ones well into their 60's +. HR group is a joke.

I worked at Hatch full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I'm a former employer of both companies so I know their pros and cons. The company that I have seen more "pros" is Hatch, and I believe there could be room to grow, despite the recent restructuring the company has been through. Both companies have interesting projects but work environment was much different.

    Cons

I enjoyed working for Hatch, but I had a terrible experience while working for HMM. Management was rude and not transparent. The moment I started to be unbillable to projects I knew my days were numbered. To add, my former supervisor was rude and put-down on me, so it was a matter of time to let me go. Upper management is like a club and live on their own bubble.

    I worked at Hatch

    Pros

Good place to work as long. opportunities to grow , try new things

    Cons

So much internal politics. personal liking and disliking is involved. no merit is considered , its all about who has connection with upper management. only those can survive who has connection with the few key individuals. No one gets promoted based on their performance , its all about who you know within organization. People are rewarded for their faithfulness with certain individual, bonuses are given to people of your liking. Staff are hired and fired without any merit consideration. if you know someone in the higher ranks , you can survive as long as you want.

I have been working at Hatch full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

good experience, opportunity to move around (sometims)

    Cons

upper management runs company with fear tactics Getting shares or pay raises is very secretive and has no straightforward path shares are never discusse, and you can tell who has share by who is actually happy. a lot of senior managers that get paid a LOT of money suck up a lot of the profits lots of smoke and mirrors about everything pay raises for the 5-10 year experience is lacking. excuses are always made and stupid reasons are always given for below average pay. people get sick of the "well one day you can own shares" carrot that is always dangled but never discussed. Non engineers get cut first, regardless of experience. its not good enough to do good work, since most managers only care about their project and not developing people. you have to do good work for the right people or your just wasting your time

I worked at Hatch full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Flat organization, informal atmosphere, good personal learning opportunities, good infrastructure, installations and tools, some possibilities to move around, but not necessary

    Cons

They still believe they are the best, but have lost reality. Upper management is not moving anywhere. Weak career growth opportunities. Not applying lessons learned
