I have been working at Handy as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

There is no pros for these company

    Cons

chaeting on you, no response or after days

    Advice to Management

Handy is cheating on you, you have to share work with somebody you never met before, cancellation fee was in this case higher than the pay. the HANDY Pro App is fake only they charge you $8 extra fee but you do not get more jobs. First three jobs were good after that it slows down and you have to take care that you get your money. I have more than ones to mount a TV over 60 in and in my work order it says under 45 in if you try to communicate with Handy you will be happy you get a answer after 3 days. I did a job and costumer proofed it that I did the job Handy said somebody else did the job I had to fight 3 week before I get my money....very poor company.
Do not waste you time HANDY makes no sense, the idea is very good but the people behind HANDY very bad.

I have been working at Handy as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Set own hours. Meet interesting people. Lead generator.

    Cons

Pay, support, distance, unruly cancellation fees, rating always at risk. If you set your availability to open they will force jobs onto you even if its only a one hour job and 40 miles away. Now they are paying as low as $15 an hour.

I have been working at Handy as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

They provide a way to make supplemental income, nothing you can live off of could be better.

    Cons

They won't talk to you, no support system, only scripts via email. Unfair to the workers, dishonest customers scam their system and sometimes try and use you like a slave adding items to the invoice without paying extra. Hard to make money Handy takes 40% of your pay. They hide the customer reviews so you wont know who lied or gave you a bad review to get their money back . They hold your money for no reason and won't let you cash out making up excuses. .

    Advice to Management

Don't be so shady with the handymen and don't be so greedy and take so much of a percentage, 20% is fair anything more than that is not fair.

I have been working at Handy as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

you can pick jobs (that's it)

    Cons

    1. if you're late they charge you 50$.....50$ for a job that was 20$!!! what would motivate you to go to a job when you're not being paid and being charged 50$? integrity or stupidity?

    2. the app sucks, it's slow, doesn't give you any flexibility to check in if the GPS beacon is off.

    3. good luck contacting support if you're on a job, nobody to call, only to charge you for mistakes.

my experience with handy was so miserable I got flyers made to promote my business. might take some time to build a clientele but these apps are PRIMARILY DEVOTED TO PROFIT MARGINS

    Advice to Management

save the money to pilfer from your contractors because your days are numbered, your rules create poor outcomes for clients and contractors alike. any day now another app will rise and demolish your greedy business model to smithereens.
    I HATE HANDY!

I have been working at Handy as a contractor

    Pros

Handy is the best, the hours are great and flexible too so as soon as your work is done you are free to go its not an all day sit down boring job. There are a couple things that I really like about working for this company. Most of the customers have been awesome to deal with, and I am my own boss, which means I make my own schedule. The management has been good, and I am the only person held responsible for the work done. I have been pretty happy since starting with them about 1 yr ago now.

    Cons

occasionally you get a difficult customer
