    Pros

    choose your own hours (sort of), you are covered by their insurance, you might find a long term customers, you might find work in work area

    Cons

    You have to be accepting jobs that are not guaranteed. Often you will have everything organize for the next day of work just to wake up in the morning to a message: "sorry, xxx just cancelled job". And then you have no work on that day, you are unlikely to book another job and are basically just wasting your time. Sorry but customers should have to give at least 24h notice if they want to cancel otherwise they should have their deposit taken. I have to give 36h notice if i don't want to lose £10 fee for late cancelling. should work the same way with customers. Come on, lets respect each other's time! Another thing: Many clients don't even request for enough time to do their home in a timely manner. I'm sorry but a 3 story home with 3 flights of stairs and 3 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms in 3 hours is not enough time. And they want you to make it to high standard even thought is clear no one cleaned there for at least a month. And if they are not happy, then they will give you a back feedback, which will affect your pay per hour and often ability to book future jobs.Need a better way of finding out what a client expect before assuming the cleaner didn't do their job. The way the customer can crash you in a feedback, just because they feel like, even though you left a house sparkling clean but did not have time to dust their 300 glassware collection because you have already cleaned their 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom 3 level house with plenty of stairs in 3.5h (already working 30 min for free because they only booked 3 h) is SO UNFAIR.Much better system of booking needed and they really should make people making bookings aware what is and what is not possible to achieve in given time. Overall: you can be an amazing cleaner but still have bad feedback, because Handy do not require customers to justify their bad feedback in any way.

    I worked at Handy as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

    I started with Handy because I liked the flexibility in scheduling.

    Cons

    Handy stole money from me, falsely claiming that they "overpaid" me. When I called and emailed them numerous times addressing the issue with my proof, they did not respond. After weeks of unanswered calls/emails, I decided to file with the BBB. Shortly after I found that Handy had kicked me off the platform and still owes me over $100 for previous bookings plus the money that they claimed to have "overpaid" me. If they don't pay me out, my uncle is a lawyer and I will take legal action.

    Pros

    There simply are none unless you like working with a bunch of liars.

    Cons

    They will give you a raise but if someone rates you low they will take that raise right back!!

    Advice to Management

    Learn how to run your flipping company cause the world doesn't work with just emails! Never ever ever take a raise away from someone when you do not listen to both sides of the story ever!

    Pros

    The schedule is very flexible. You are able to work when you can. A lot of customer tip well also.

    Cons

    Charging us for being late when sometimes traffic is out of control.
    If a customer cancels 3 hrs before a booking you are charged a 15 fee.
    Not being able to view booking details prior to claiming a job.

    Advice to Management

    Booking details and address should be shown prior to booking for better planning.

    Pros

    When there's an issue, it was handled promptly. Alot of times clients give you a bad review, even when you know you've gone above and beyond

    Cons

    Lately im not able to reach anyone at the call center, on hold too long. Alot of times clients complain and give you a bad review, when you know you've gone above and beyond, the company doesn't care about your reasoning, its about what the customer feels.
