      Pros

Some great colleagues to work with. Lots of resources, especially if you are in charge of a SHSM.

      Cons

Pay grid is 12 years, not 10 like a lot of other boards in province. (That is a local issue, not provincial). For a school so big (2300 kids) , I've usually had 3 separate preps a semester. Where is the staff wellness when asking to volunteer for so many other initiatives/clubs/sports. In general, too many demands over a 15 year career, one feels completely burnt out. LTOs have excruciatingly long road to full time.

      Pros

The benefits are very comprehensive and the union is decent. Guaranteed 40 hr weeks and room to grow from their entry level pay.

      Cons

Afternoon shifts for the first year or so are tough because you end up only seeing the people you work with and can lead to feeling rather isolated.
