    Pros

great company and strong brand, stands for something in a world that often doesn't, some really great people to work with and a nice work life balance. Has potential to do some groundbreaking stuff in the future, some great digital skills in house but hampered by poor decision making and an unwillingness to learn. A good company for wanting to progress and learn, its encouraged and pushed well.

    Cons

Strategy isn't working, cost cuts where they are really needed don't materialise due to unionisation and a lack of will by the board to make significant changes

I have been working at Guardian News & Media full-time

    Pros

Decent work / life balance with flexible working hours. A company which has retained a lot of staff over the years (until recent changes) which has meant that proper finance processes are in place and are respected. Least stressful environment I have worked in.

    Cons

Large organisation which can suffer from a lack communication between teams. Not expected to make a profit therefore work culture can be a little too relaxed. Quite willing to hire externally then look to promote within.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Guardian News & Media full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great place to work - they really promote work/life balance and encourage young people to succeed and be leaaders

    Cons

Lots of bureaucracy and egos to jump through to get anything done/ decisions made. Quality is important, but so is taking risks.

I have been working at Guardian News & Media

    Pros

    - Incredible, world-renowned brand - Great people to work with - Nice offices, great location - Work can be very interesting - Opportunities to get involved with lots if you want to - Very flexible working conditions, some might even say too flexible (the amount of staff that don't work Fridays is quite staggering) - Very good work life balance

    Cons

    - Just had a huge round of redundancies, with more probably coming - Losing money. Fast. - Rudderless senior management with no real accountability - Constantly changing strategy - Very heavy meeting based culture - Utterly obsessed with other companies and trying to copy what they do rather than focus on the Guardian’s own unique strengths - Only progression opportunity comes from staff above you leaving and even then they favour hiring from an external company they can PR
