I have been working at Groundswell Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Treats each employee like a human being. Each Employee is assigned a mentor, to make sure that their career aspirations are listened to and training plan is focuses for both company and personal long-term career ambitions. Constant emphasis on employees needs and ensuring that the right balance is maintained between home and work. Lots of social activites. Employees are rewarded for community contributions.

    Cons

Very little to criticize. Health & Dental benefits OK but RRSP Provider needs changing. Lousy choice of RRSP funds and rates of return - however you can transfer ther to your own - but a pain.

    Advice to Management

Very little to cricize if anything - other than the RRSP provider is not the best.

I have been working at Groundswell Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

You are heard for your concerns. Good benefits.

    Cons

    Not many opportunities to grow

    Advice to Management

Salaries for employees are less than what industry offers outside for similar experience and role. Management should realize this act on it before it's too late and people start looking opportunities outside.

I worked at Groundswell Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Negotiate and get a good starting salary. Good bonus and profit sharing, if market is good.

    Cons

No bonus or profit sharing after first year. Company lays off smart and hardworking employees and replacing them with fresh graduates. Company recruits people very cheaply on TN visas and work permits and exploits them until they get PR. Advice to new recruits , get experience in a year and fly out, as you job may not be stable.

    Advice to Management

Respect those employees who have worked hard and sincerely, instead of promoting those who don't work hard, but are close to top management.

I worked at Groundswell Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good training budget for professional development..it helps to have a good mentor...but really sucks with most of them..as they have no idea what your career path should look like..!! Really cant think of anything else to go in this section...

    Cons

-Middle management does nothing except killing time -Lack of professional environment in the workplace. -Racism...as all mexicans are promoted to higher positions -Incompetent salary package

    Advice to Management

Please clean up the middle management layer if you really want the company to grow as a mature organisation.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Groundswell Group for more than 3 years

    Pros

There is a real positive energy here. The company leaders are approachable and have a sincere concern for their employees well being and career paths.

    Cons

Filling out this field is proving difficult for me. Although all companies have their positives and negatives, I have not found any cons within this organization that are glaring and worth posting here. Maybe more free lunches?

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Groundswell Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good training options, bonus, work/life balance, downtown area

    Cons

Middle management is terrible. Never trust them. Bonus is cut considerably. People are laid off in September every year, thus denying them bonus and hike. PR and canadian citizens are laid off and people from Mexico on TN visas are hired on less salary.

    Advice to Management

Employees have lost trust in the management. Trim the size of the management, instead of the consultants, who work hard and earn for you.
