I have been working at Great Expressions Dental Centers full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -So many opportunities for growth
-The company is very focused on patient care
-Upper management truly supports their employees everyday and are very passionate about what they do
    -Great AOMs
-New CEO is bringing positive changes
-I feel that the clinical team is treated well. There are many opportunities for assistants or hygienists to pick up more hours at other offices, learn more, have mentors if they are fresh out of school, or even be given the opportunity to learn the position if they have 0 experience. This is not usually offered at a private dental office. Given a large company with a great training environment, the growth is truly there

    Cons

Can be a fast paced environment but if you enjoy challenges this isn’t really a con. All I ask is that some people at PSC could be a bit more helpful and respectful to the offices who work very hard everyday. :-)

    Advice to Management

Keep supporting your employees, and they will continue taking care of the patients. There’s a ton of research out there that show that engaged employees who are treated with civility work harder, smarter and more creatively. As a new PA I’ve been invited to multiple meetings asked how GEDC can improve. I appreciate that so much!

I have been working at Great Expressions Dental Centers full-time

    Pros

Cant think of a one actually. If 0 stars was a possible rating, Great Expressions would certainly deserve it.

    Cons

    Where to begin...?
1.They make promises to potential employees that turn out to be bold face lies.
2.Pay rate appears to be determined by who you know, not what you know. An assistant w/ a decade of experience could be offered minimum wage, while another who's green as the grass makes double. Tell me how that makes sense?
    3. Sure there's plenty of room for advancement, as long as you're related or best friends w/someone in the company.
    4. Raises are an absolute joke! They nickel and dime you to death. Shouldn't even bother working hard all year, you're only getting a 15 cent raise.
    5. BOOOO great expressions!

    Advice to Management

Get your head outta your rear end!

I have been working at Great Expressions Dental Centers full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    1. Advancement is possible.
    2. You form great bonds with coworkers.

    Cons

    1. Pay ranges are not across the board. They are subjective.
    2. They talk about patient care at the office level. They need to talk about patient care at the upper management level. Their decision making and actions support that production is the company's mission not providing great patient care such as those stupid upgrades not covered my insurances but we charge patients anyway.
    3. When they love you, they love you. When they don't, it's bad!!!
    4. They are not truthful nor transparent.

    Advice to Management

    1. Listen to your employees. The people who make you all lots of money. We want more paid time off and better wages.
    2. You need to hire better doctors.
