I worked at Grant Thornton UK LLP full-time

    Pros

    Fantastic training and profitable business.

    Cons

In all of my years of work, I'd never heard some of the things I heard here:
    1) Without going into too much detail, in my time there, I heard offensive comments about people on Visas and people on secondment from abroad.
    2) HR didn't offer an exit interview. They also shared issues I was having with the entire office.
    3) I was subject to bullying by my line manager for around a year. When I handed in my notice, I asked him to let me share the news with the team. He took it upon himself to blurt it out to the whole team as soon as he left the meeting room that we were in. The best auditor in our team also had the same experience.
    4) Perceived culture of tolerance is a complete myth - if you challenge, you're seen as a disruption

    Pros

I enjoyed working for GT for the most part. Good people including most management. Good benefits and good atmosphere at the start

    Cons

Pay was really bad. And because of this, a high turn around. Also the new assistant manager tried to run place like call centre and people weren't treated like adults.

    Advice to Management

Pay more cause people work super hard and really deserve more
