Company is struggling with their transition

Apr 12, 2021 - Account Manager in Burnaby, BC

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Great people, interesting customers, opportunity to make good money if you get a realistic budget

      Cons

Very focused on performance metrics and not sales. Budgets are not set based on account manager input of territory so can be unreasonable, which means your dont make commissions based on their structure. Time needed to support customers, develop relationships, complete admin tasks regularly tops 60 hours a week. Depending on your manager's interpretation of the "rules" directly impact your ability to do your job. To focused on making everyone adopt their new way of doing business instead of embracing what make their sales force successful and the reason they were hired.

      Industry leader

Nov 10, 2020 - Branch Manager in Burnaby, BC
      Recommend
      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Excellent support within the organization. Above average compensation. Industry leader in industrial and safety supplies. Great people and a strong organizational culture. A company that wants to do the "right thing" and puts the customer first. Strong organizational leadership with a clear path for the sustainable profitable growth for the future.

      Cons

Sometimes rigid in processes and procedures. An ever changing world makes for an ever changing environment within the organization so change management is a strong focus and time consuming. Website and Ecomm needs further focus to make it more user friendly for our customer base.
