RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Global Relay full-time for more than 5 years
Pros
- company is growing rapidly, more than 50% this year, no slowdown foreseen - solid business model based on archiving makes revenue stream very resistant to any economic crisis - despite getting close to 1000 employees, company managed to keep bureaucracy and hierarchy levels quite low - work-life balance is sustainable
Cons
- due to the fast growth, governance and processes cannot always keep up; some areas might appear to be a little chaotic - priorities can change fast, sometimes requiring team changes that are rarely desired but deemed necessary

Pros
There are several product lines within this growing company and depending on where you land your experience may differ. On the technology front many will be pleasantly surprised with the engineering talent within the company. There are some really great senior engineers who have been here a while across several product lines. The executives have built the company with a great culture. The company just keeps growing (worldwide) Cons On the product side the upper management layer has no vision, strategy or leadership and they are a laugh riot (all talk and passing blame) If one enjoys technology there is definitely lots of scale and technically challenging problems to solve however career growth may be a challenge.

Pros
Cool to be a part of a growing tech company. Some great people!
Cons
Salary is not on par with market, movement within company (horizontal or vertical) is not as easy as they like to make it seem. Might be a good place to start but likely not where you will get the best opportunities.

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookDisapproves of CEOI worked at Global Relay full-time
Pros
The company employs talented and intelligent people and provides them with free alcohol, food, and nice office space. The company appears to be successful at the moment.
Cons
The CEO's impulsivity and unwillingness to listen mean that you are constantly switching directions and accomplishing little. HR ensures that the company meets its legal obligations to staff but seems uninterested in the health or wellbeing of employees. There is condescending tone to all-staff email.
