I worked at GlaxoSmithKline full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Good benefits, GlaxoSmithKline is seen as a brand name employer, which will help with getting work elsewhere once you've gained some experience there.

    Cons

Work life balance is in decline in some areas leading to unrealistic expectations and a lot of very talented people performing below their potential. I have been working at GlaxoSmithKline

    Pros

Good flexibility in terms of working from home, exciting work and great people who work collaboratively. Good opportunities to move into other functions and learn oyhet parts of the business

    Cons

Work life balance is not ideal, very high workload and a very flat organization means little room for growth. Being a large corp means that flexibility in how things are or can be done isnt easily achieved.

    Pros

Great group of professional people all committed to success. Lots of opportunities to learn new things and processes to to ensure disciplined work ethic.

    Cons

Management (globally and locally) always changing strategies and over-reacting rather than staying on course. Expectations are high for productivity and work-life balance is impacted. Empowerment is preached but rarely practiced.
