I worked at GlaxoSmithKline full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Good work/life balance. Reasonable benefits

    Cons

So many restrictions. No chance for upward mobility if you’re in the field. Maybe after a decade you can move to a senior sales role. Resp products are good, but sales strategy is mudane and old-fashion.

    Advice to Management

Hire people that truly want to do pharma sales only and not looking to move up.

I have been working at GlaxoSmithKline full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Colleagues work harder, safety is taken seriously

    Cons

Leadership doesn’t listen to its employees. Employees are strained and overworked. Barely any money to spend on employee engagement. Teams are asked to do pot lucks. At most you will get one lunch paid. It makes the employer look cheap

    Advice to Management

Tell your managers to listen to their employees!!

    Pros

Work life balance and great products.

    Cons

Greater restrictions, more regulated and policy on physician payments and education doesn’t work

    Advice to Management

Change rules with physician involvement in launching new products. Doesn’t build partnerships with medical community and not conducive to ongoing education
