    Pros

You can move up very quickly if you're bro-y and unintelligent.

    Pros

Great co workers, flexible hours, free food.

    Cons

Abysmal management leading the company. There is an endless cycle of hiring and firing with no clear company goal in mind. Management plays hot potato in regards to responsibility so that there is always someone else to blame for the path they are on.

    Advice to Management

Actually get competent management because the current group is going to bankrupt the company

I have been working at GREE International Entertainment full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Mostly good people, free snacks and meals, and located near public transportation.

    Cons

Lack of mentorship, constructive feedback, and general guidance. Seems to be sink or swim unless you've worked with those who are now in charge before and were handpicked to join. Lack of gender diversity in leadership, which reinforces the idea of a boys club in the gaming industry.

    Advice to Management

Be a little more transparent, set clear expectations with the teams, and give feedback where needed before axing people.

I worked at GREE International Entertainment (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good pay, really solid benefits package, up to date tools and facilities. Employees are well taken care of for the most part. Many fun, talented people to work with and great location.

    Cons

Too many shifts in structure over the years which made the place uneasy and unsettled. Developers played it safe too often without taking risks to innovate.

    Advice to Management

The continuous reshuffling and reorganization made the environment feel lost and chaotic. Focus on the mission goals and listen to employees suggestions more at times. Don't be afraid to take more risks and innovate more.

    Pros

Strong teams and approachable managers. The culture here is great, all the typical tech company perks like snacks, massages, catered meals, etc.

    Cons

    We need more new games!

I worked at GREE International Entertainment full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Free snacks and drinks, catered lunches and dinners, fun and smart coworkers, somewhat flexible hours, loosely tracked PTO (for engineers anyway). Good benefits. Fine compensation. Despite the cons listed, COO Andrew Sheppard seems to have turned the company around financially with the layoffs.

    Cons

The company restructured so often that by the time we got used to one we would have another coming up (this practice may have changed). The games were mostly clones of other games and each other and designed to extract cash from rich people (aka whales) via pay-to-win mechanics, not to actually be fun, which didn't feel very fulfilling to work on. Everyone was waiting on promotions they deserved long ago. COO Andrew Sheppard is not a gamer and doesn't care about games, and after laying off large chunks of the company, filled the ranks with his former Kabam buddies. Our customers really didn't seem to like us.

    Advice to Management

Now that you've cut the fat, have a little more heart, play games for fun, make games that are fun even for non-whales, make original games -- change customer sentiment for the better.

I have been working at GREE International Entertainment (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Lots of new management and lots of new leaders have given the company a clear vision for the future, which is working
    - Focus on both the products we already have live and what we will launch next
    - Everyone else seems to mention the food, and yes, it's plentiful and tasty

    Cons

    - Where we have offices and co-workers has changed, which was a difficult change to work through

    Advice to Management

    - Keep communicating what the company's goals are and how we are doing
