    Pay does not compensate for amount of work asked of you. Low morale. Not enough staff.

    Pros

    Department co-workers are very helpful and willing to help you succeed. The benefits offered at this company are great which includes a yearly bonus.

    Cons

    Must be very flexible with the production schedule that consistently changes. Work typically takes over your life and there is a lot of political drama at this company.

    Management needs to improve processes and modernize equipment in order to prevent delays in manufacturing.

    -Raises were OK, they have a bonus program too which is nice -I really liked my boss -Lots of potential to learn a lot very quickly

    Overall, FK- Melrose Park has the potential to be a great place to work. It could've been worse however the environment at the plant is unnecessarily hectic. At the end of the day, it's the same old story; the low base pay and hectic schedule is what keeps the plant having "swinging doors". Turn over is very very high.     Advice to Management

    Anticipate things that can go wrong further ahead of time. Stop the "put it off until tomorrow" mentality; that is why things are never caught up. Revise systems that aren't working. Think about the big picture and not just about what needs to get done today so you can go home. Your employees spend the majority of the day putting out fires; implement processes to ensure that fires wont happen again!

    Great coworkers, clean facility and decent hours.

    Cons

    Zero work-life balance, constant mandatory over-time, pay is below-average for the area, very few actual full-time workers on the manufacturing team and extremely click-oriented.     Pay location, there are some nice people here

    Cons

    Deadlines are pushed without care of quality or efficiency. People are ignored. Upper management pressures lower management and staff to act without processes or plans in place. Constant! Change in direction. Rework and horribly inefficient workplace. Communication is one way. Management coddles favorites.

    Plan better. Follow through. Hold yourselves accountable.

    Pros

    -Company growing at a fast pace -Lots of opportunities to acquire new skills, multiple internal job opportunities in other departments -Meaningful work (providing US market with low-cost generic injectables) -renewed focus on employee engagement -increasingly competitive compensation -good healthcare benefits

    Cons

    -poor work/life balance -pervasive "hurry up and wait" mentality with regard to project management -high level of turnover -lack of recognition of employees that excel -lack of promotion opportunities within job role -lack of cooperation from senior management with regard to employee engagement initiatives -no employee profit-sharing program -burdensome and discouraging annual review process

    Advice to Management

    -Focus on the engagement of your employees, make them feel valued if they are actively contributing, and provide them opportunities for promotions to prevent costly and disruptive turnover. -6 and 12 month employee performance review process is burdensome to supervisors and tends to treat excellent employees and "bare minimum" employees similarly, making otherwise good employees apathetic over the long term.
