I worked at Fraser Health full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Very good work life balance. Decent benefits. Ok Pension (doesn't make up for cons or salary). Good entry level jobs.

    Cons

Non Clinical side is an old-boys network of seat warmers who are just biding time to get their pensions. No vision or desire to move processes and tools to current methodologies, and have 1980's style administrative capabilities will not attract the bright young graduates. Huge amount of wage & position compression, as organization is ok with keeping dead weight. Wage freeze for a few years on Sr. Positions, with an occasional increase thrown in that doesn't keep up with inflation. No tie to performance. Game of musical chairs between health authorities as staff try to increase pay by moving around.
