I worked at Forever 21 part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

flexible hours, easy job, fast paced during busy times, super slow other times.

    Cons

last minute scheduling making it hard to plan life outside work, only 10% discount for employees which doesn't even cover the tax.

    Advice to Management

Not a horrible job, but I am on a way different level of maturity than most of the young girls there, making some days difficult personally.

I worked at Forever 21 (Less than a year)

    Pros

I worked at Forever 21 for a few months because I love fashion and I wanted to gain experience in the field of visual merchandising. It was horrible--the visual merchandisers frequently worked 12 + hour shifts without sufficient breaks and we were pressured by management to get huge tasks done in an implausible time frame. The other visual merchandiser I worked with would always raise her voice at me and basically question my intelligence. I was never properly trained and realized soon after that I was hired as an extra set of hands. I was expected to hold a wooden shelf that was half my weight on a 9-foot ladder to which I refused. I was warned about this company but I still took the job because they are huge in the industry. Be careful :/

    Cons

low pay, overtime, unrealistic employee expectations, no safety training, stressful

    Advice to Management

    learn empathy
