Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI have been working at Flipp for more than a year
Pros
- I was fortunate to have an excellent manager who provided one-on-one coaching and interesting work - Given responsibility to execute tasks independently, despite junior position
Cons
- HR or "talent" staff at the firm openly DERIDE candidates who have just completed interviews. They will literally, in the hallways of the office, talk down on candidates and make fun of their abilities. I was astounded to hear this, in the HALLWAYS, of the office. Like common man. - The firm's senior management are the opposite of intellectuals, they confirm their own biases and present strategy decisions that are not founded on any solid data or conceptual framework. Often, they will present ideas at company wide meetings, that state that they want to directly challenge some of the biggest tech companies in the world. It leaves you thinking, "what are these guys smoking!?". - Flipp is extremely hierarchical with their strategy decisions, and the firm vests far too much belief in its CEO, who by all accounts, isn't a smooth communicator and supportive leader. He dictates his demands to employees and doesn't accept criticism well. In one situation, he came by my desk and told me the work I was doing, where I was providing my own perspective on firm strategy, was completely wrong.
