I have been working at FinancialForce full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Intentions are right and the leadership team is doing everything to launch this rocketship. Everyone in Sales celebrates your success and are willing to help. Sales enablement is doing everything to help be more efficient and are constantly introducing new tools. Great work/life balance.

    Cons

Growing pains. It takes forever to find simple answers which leads to frustration.

    Advice to Management

This is a great company with a great potential, the formula WAS right with the right direction but something has changed...its time to figure out what and fix it.

    I worked at FinancialForce full-time

    Pros

    - Remote working culture with flexibility and focus on getting the job done. - Good benefits - Volunteer time off each year for charity - Good Engineering talent

    Cons

    - Constant org structure and leadership changes. Constantly in last year, either execs resigned or let go in last year, and with new leaders, there is a sweep of people and role changes. - Volatility in Sales number quarter over quarter. - Lack of visibility on who gets promoted and career guidance framework.

    Advice to Management

    - Not a good strategy to Reorg by putting people in role that you know they don't like and will eventually leave . This might save on your severance cost but leaves a very bad taste in any employee who worked hard for your success. - Listen to Sales and Service - they are the one in direct contact with customers and know what market needs. 4 sales and service exec turnover in span of around 1 year says something.

I have been working at FinancialForce full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Work-life balance and flexibility. Compensation is fair

    Cons

New ceo and new execs No respect for long service employees Major Lack of communication Products are not selling Feels like execs are just there to cash out and beef up resumes Lacking clear processes Private equity funding model

    Advice to Management

It’s become obvious you are setting yourselves up for a big payout exit, and the rest of the employees are not important. You have taken a great company full of potential and turned it into an embarrassment and a toxic work environment.

I have been working at FinancialForce full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Snacks and Macs. Downtown San Francisco location.

    Cons

People are treated as disposable. Focus is on the egos and building the resumes of the executives. Current Executive Team treated those who built the Company with contempt. They acted as if anyone there prior to their arrival had nothing to offer. Compensation increase is given to those who are in favor of the Sales Executives. Not based on actual performance. Same with Club attendance. Read the positive... reviews with a does of skepticism - positive Sales reviews were pushed by the Sales Executives to counter the real reviews. Ask about the churn in the Sales Reps and Sales Management and Customers. Both are high and not sustainable.

    Advice to Management

Hold yourselves accountable for your actions. Listen to the employees and not those who just say yes. Survey those who left in the last year and learn from their concerns. People came to FinancialForce prior to early 2016 for a reason. Those that built the company had value.

    I worked at FinancialForce full-time

    Pros

I got paid was the positive.

    Cons

One of the worst experiences in my career. Management has no clue how to run a software company. Products are terrible, no longer sell ERP, just Financials & PSA to completely different markets. Customer turnover is very large. Development Group is absolutely horrendous.

    Pros

Tightly connected with Salesforce, so you can piggyback on the name. Strong growth, heading toward IPO.

    Cons

Salesforce may not want to work with you, and you are in a hard way... Need more focus on customer retention. We tout that we're strong here, but I haven't seen a total commitment to the customer in some regards.

    I worked at FinancialForce full-time

    Pros

The people, events and Dreamforce (salesforce's trade show and conference).

    Cons

Growing company; lack of immediate leadership; no real product direction (platform or otherwise); inexperienced head of product, who looked to subordinates for advice instead of directing and/or creating vision for products. The most annoying thing was to have to threaten to leave to get the company to offer market pay. Senior leaders come across as just waiting for ipo...

    Advice to Management

Get people who know what they are doing into product leadership positions. There are a lot of good, hard working people in the ranks -- and they are annoyed with what's happening.

    Pros

The culture is extremely professional and trusting. Management is very flexible and hands off, as long as you get your job done and give back in return.

    Cons

It's a very fast growing company and sometimes the pace of growth is a bit difficult to manage.

    Advice to Management
