I have been working at Ferrero full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Kidding right, it’s barely a place to hang a hardhat

    Cons

No communication and they aren’t paying the contractors, who are building the cocoa plant in Branford. Forcing layoffs and companies into receivership. Ferrero Canada takes advantage of temp workers as well as trying to backdoor Italian workers to do jobs Canadians are certified to do. Ferrero is a sad joke. Boycott crappy palm oil garbage. Ferrero is a money printing press built on the backs of slaves and... consumer obesity.

    Advice to Management

Lol, it’s really a problem no one admits is happening. Hopefully unemployment knocks on your door too.

I have been working at Ferrero full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Familiar company and good canteen.

    Cons

Mafia, salary, and discrimination if you are not Italian... is like the Godfather I, II, III and IV from Monday to Friday...

    Advice to Management

Old familiar and mafia style structure, so they cannot change, therefore, none.

I have been working at Ferrero full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The constant care on the employees and their families. The friendly environment and the love from the employees towards Ferrero. The company helps you growth and motivates you to move forward.

    Cons

Difference of benefits among employees. Some areas have too many hierarchy. Italian mentality of work long hours is strong. The company should drive into flexible hours and smart working.

    Advice to Management

Share feedback with lower levels to encourage involvement and motivation

    Pros

Family feeling. People are nice. Lot of manual work ur good place to learn.

    Cons

If you are not smart you need to be an Italian to survive. There are many incompetent you will find there who have no clue what’s going on and still there.

    Advice to Management

Fire the garbage. Take care of the talented ones.

    I worked at Ferrero full-time

    Pros

Close-knit family-like environment. Ability to learn a lot as you do a lot!

    Cons

Even though it's an MNC, it's still largely more an italian company which gives priority to Italians and those who speak italian. Some high-level meetings were even conducted fully in italian, with no consideration to those who don't understand a single word!

I worked at Ferrero full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Rich company, has a lot of money to waste

    Cons

10 years behind any other decent company, mainly because of lack of listening and non-existing feedback culture. The worst side of italian provincialism.

    Advice to Management

Start considering the hypothesis that yesmen (and yeswomen) are not by default better than people that bring a different view of the world.

I worked at Ferrero full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Great unique products and consumer-centric way of doing - Strong Reputation - The company is growing at a high rate, expanding business worldwide - Friendly environment - Good place to start working with as an intern employee to get a well-known name in your CV - Free parking, decent canteen, ideal location near the highway/airport, free tap water and coffee

    Cons

Ferrero used to care about the fair treatment and welfare of employees. Unfortunately Mr. Ferrero's sickness and then his death brought many changes that are leading to the end of all his values and the decline of employees’ moral. Some examples below: - Impossibility to get a clear career path even when constantly challenging the manager/HR. - Lack of opportunities for young employees: current focus on external... hiring narrowing internal growth. Ferrero is a company you should better join once you are already a senior manager, so that you can enjoy the several benefits offered without great responsibilities. - Most Senior Managers are willing to settle for the way things are, even when they’re not good, since there is a lack of accountability over decisions and its related risks, and managers are not reprimanded for bad management. Moreover, micromanagement and individual contribution skills are fostered in the company, while it is rare to find a manager with team and/or people management skills, with no interest from HR to change this attitude. -Low wages at employee level: The salary used to be in line with market level thank to the so-called "housing allowance", an extra granted to all the expats moving to Luxembourg, but this extra is not given anymore, hence salaries are currently below Luxembourg's market level. Due to the low wage, the company struggles to hire from people from Germany, France and Northern Europe, focusing on countries whose wage level is way lower than Luxembourg, such as Eastern and Southern Europe (Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Romania and Poland). -Italian-centric structure: nepotism, non-Italian speakers are strongly advised to learn Italian as most important meetings are held in Italian (and some top managers hardly speak English), career opportunities for female workers are lower if compared to the male employees. - Flexibility schedule wise is not granted, but, given there is no badging system in Luxembourg, a great percentage of the employees takes advantage of this “bug”, arriving late or leaving early. The lack of badging system also results in additional hours not being paid or recovered. - The company is slow in making changes happen and reluctant in applying disruptive ideas. There are so many processes that make the company very bureaucratic and resistant to change. This slowness often results in employees’ negative mood since most of the projects begin but see no completion. - The company also result in many inefficiencies: some activities are completed twice (or more times) by different teams, sometimes resulting in contrasting outputs or results. On the other hand, some other departments are understaffed and struggle to get things done, with employees working day and night with low recognition from upper management.

    Advice to Management

    - Listen to employees (i.e. the “You Survey”, made to understand how employees feel about the company, brought many issues out, but the only “taken care of ” until August 2017 were irrelevant, such as to renew the canteen and offer corporate sports teams. Big topics such as having a clear career path have not been improved at all). - Treat employees in a more equitable way. - Clean house at management level,... including HR. - Create a clear career planning, simplify the performance evaluation process. - Be more open to change and encourage employees to say their word to make disruptive innovation real. - Identify strong performers on all levels and bet on them to grow. - The company has an amazing culture and tradition that were created through a lifetime by Mr.Ferrero. After his death, a lot has changed, and those who have been in the company for more than 20 years should realize they don’t work anymore in the same company it was before.

    Pros

    Good name on CV

    Cons

Well it seems it a headquarter in Lux offices but unfortunatly managment is so weak. X generation managment system insisting on Y and Z generation young white collors. Its insane that you dont feel any HR support for growing path in the company. If you are italian and you worked in the company more than 15 years well only you deserve sth .... Otherwise you are just a fish in big unhappy ocean.

    Advice to Management

Use less Gossiping management system please and make more professional management..
