I worked at Farmers Edge full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

It is my first job and I learnt a lot during my time with the company. It really depends on who your bosses are. I happened to run into good bosses and good people that help me grow and connect to other people in the Industry. It is a great place to start a career. It is only after I started looking for job, that I realize that the work experience at Farmers Edge really add values to my resume and open many doors. Farmers Edge has a good reputation in the precision Ag R&D.

    Cons

It has high turnover rate and it is challenging to keep a high morale every year when a coworker being let go. The survivor’s guilt. If you are looking for job security it has to be earned through meaningful work every year. Even it said it is a full time permanent position it is actually position with a contract that needs to be renewed every year.

I worked at Farmers Edge full-time

    Pros

The company is doing cool things and growing like crazy. Decent benefits.

I worked at Farmers Edge full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Company truck, good benefits package

    Cons

Farmers Edge has the highest turnover of employees I’ve ever seen. This is largely do to being under paid and over worked. Upper management has no regard for their operations teams. They want the techs and agronomists to take on more and more acres with no compensation, and using tools/ products that don’t work half the time. They expect you to work a lot of overtime with absolutely compensation. They place all of their value into sales, and none on the people who do the grunt work. It’s hard to do quality work and take pride in your work, when the company doesn’t give you the resources or tools you need. Another major con is the upper management is very out of touch which the day to day work, and current state of the ag market. They over promise things, and then expect ops to make it happen.
