  1. "Big company but deceiving"

    Negative Outlook

I worked at ExxonMobil for less than a year

    Pros

good 2 week training before you get on the floor. Some employee are amazing.

    Cons

Communication problem between marketing and call center on special promotions that are ending in overflow of calls. Call q is always in red, very short brake, ongoing contract work. Some employees have been on contract for 2-3 years and will never be hired, they don't even know about it. Management tells the new hires that are presently on contract who are the people that will never get hire and I felt bad for them. It’s sad really, not motivating for new hires and kind of odd when you just started working for a company. No benefit until you are hired by the company meaning never for some people, no positive feedback from management, hiring overqualified employee for low entry level jobs. Management leads you on behind closed door that you will be hired by the company shortly and to work harder. Very archaic style of management using scare tactic and making their employee feel like they never do enough to get more result or if they make a mistake you get reviewed 20 times and have to explain yourself even if it’s minor. Hiring agency process is non-existent and unclear about the job. The job is very deceiving for experienced customer service agents. They also say safety is very important for them but they exaggerate a LOT. Very Controlled environment no space for input even if they ask for input....there is no room for input or feedback.

I worked at ExxonMobil full-time for less than a year

    Pros

international environment, multilingual colleagues, friendly and welcoming atmosphere, various benefits including ergonomic equipment or massages in the office building, stable company with career opportunities within, it is possible to move horizontally, on the same position to a different division, or to grow vertically, which enables to enjoy your work even after decades of working for the same employer

    Cons

stressful type of work for me personally (customer service), but some other colleagues enjoyed it, more incompetent managers and these problems generally not dealt with, openspace, in my department and those around me longterm problems to have enough employees, which causes bigger amount of work for the current ones and more stress, people get tired and exhausted in long term
