    Pros

    - Great culture, there are lot of opportunities to learn and try new things - Exciting product with a vibrant community, you have a rare and very real chance to work on screens millions of users see every day and have an impact of their lives - Design team is great, it has a good balance of backgrounds and seniority levels that makes discussions productive and projects rewarding - Consistent and thoughtful leadership team, they'll learn your name and will be available for guidance and support - Good benefits, some of them totally unexpected Change of policies in response to COVID and other disturbing challenges of 2020 has been admirable.

    Cons

    - 401k contributions could be more generous. - Can't think of anything else.

    Pros

Leadership team is very transparent with the company's direction, user privacy is coveted, great environment to learn from peers

    Cons

Occasionally deadlines/timelines aren't chosen appropriately and another team might have to rush some work only to find out the team that set the original deadline pushed it back, let's share the info others use to prioritize a little bit better!

I have been working at Evernote full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Some employees truly care about the product and have excellent work ethics Very flexible working environment

    Cons

Leadership team has brought back nepotism Leadership team do not care about the people - There was not even a single word or an email from the CEO to the international (Japan & EMEA) teams after deciding to let go of 95% of their workforce No focus on the product and too much unnecessary marketing

I have been working at Evernote full-time

    Pros

Evernote has the best company culture I have experienced in the Valley. Every employee I have met (I am almost at my 1-yr anniversary) is kind, committed, and looking forward to all the new developments coming in 2018. People work hard and care about each other and love the product. Food is awesome, benefits are on par with most internet companies and the leadership team is accessible (though super busy). Great location.

    Cons

We need more engineers, and some people that have been with Evernote for a long time have left to try new places. But we are growing and the next year is supposed to be a big hiring year.

I have been working at Evernote full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

-Nice perks. (Onsite gym, mobile phone reimbursement, lunch and snacks)

    Cons

-Leadership team is comprised completely of the CEO's golf buddies. -No growth opportunities. -Employee's are generally unhappy. Refuse to be vocal as management disregards feedback and have terminated expressive individuals. -Company has no direction, 8 years and still don't know whether they want to be acquired or go public. -People are leaving the company left and right most without jobs lined up. If unemployment is a better option than working for Evernote, there's a problem. -There is a commonly accepted distrust in HR. Employee's express in anonymous feedback surveys. However, HR continually disregards feedback. -Executives claim they want equality between employees and management. However they continue to take advantage of executive authority -People seem to keep leaving the company to go back and work for former CEO Phil Libin

I have been working at Evernote full-time for more than a year

    Pros

-Benefits were better in the past but still strong (401k match, lunch everyday, gym onsite, cell phone bill reimbursement) -Nice office space

    Cons

-Weak leadership team members who are experienced in their field but unfit to manage or lead teams -The CEO openly talks about how employees are lazy and have poor work ethic at his desk. We have an open office: WE CAN HEAR YOU! -Poor hiring decisions and employees exiting after a few months of starting. -Terrible recruiting team. The team used to be looked up to and strong hiring partners but they all left over the last year. The new team is bigger but incompetent. Again, poor hiring decisions and bad management play a role here. -The quality of talent has declined across all departments over the last few years. Most of the best employees have left although a few remain. -Toxic environment. There are more transparent conversations taking place in whispers behind closed doors than in meetings and 1:1s.
