Pros

Genentech campus is nice. Subsidized food. You get full access to the campus and if you are charismatic enough you can network your way in to being an employee there. If you do this its best not to mention CyberCSI. It will only hurt you.

Cons

Stupid name. Everyone is basically on a sinking ship as each time the contract gets negotiated the budget gets lower and lower with demotions happening so the CEO can live lavishly. Employees here are HIGHLY under-appreciated. Not even a thank you email at the end of the year, let alone a party. CSI takes HALF of what Genentech pays, which is an already low rate of $45 for a tier 2 tech, making the pay far below what the job is worth, especially considering the demands of Genentech "blue badge employees" and the balance of technical and communication skills required to perform the job well. It should be noted that they also sell computers to the entire campus of 40k people. Simple math calculates that alone to bring in $8m every 4 years (lifespan of a laptop), if they profit at $200 a system (could be more, but no less). I'm guessing another $1m minimum a year comes in from the half they take on hourly wages of 50 or so employees. Expenses are minimum. Maybe $5-600k for office space, some insurance, and 4 or so cars from the 1990s. Actually they may not even pay for office space as its most likely provided by Genentech. So someone (CEO) is making a lot of money and not distributing the wealth fairly. Typical of any company but CSI is closer to slavery than most. The CEO (which he is not - hes really just a founder at this point) has already been rewarded more than enough for starting the company. Enough's enough. This guy cares NOTHING about the people who work for him. NOTHING. So long story short, the best thing that could happen is for CyberCSI to seize to exist because the CEO will never step down. Why would he? Hopefully, whatever company takes over will rehire the extremely hard working A-quality team of employees at CyberCSI who at bare minimum deserve a thank you at the end of the year. Even if it means the CEO has to sell one of his cheap watches, or cancel a date. Silicon Valley is full of greedy people who thrive on cheap labor, and over inflate their accomplishments as entrepreneurs. CyberCSI is possibly the worst of them all as all the money goes to one man who spends his days flaunting his wealth without ever setting foot in the office. I imagine because if he did, he would actually start to develop a conscience.
