Pros

- decent PTO - some employees have work from home opportunities (pre-COVID), though not all - decent medical coverage - many good people work here but most don't stay for long - lots of snacks

Cons

- micro management is the name of the game - entire office lives in fear of the CEO's mood changes - high turnover rate because of poor management - few opportunities for advancement - yearly "bonus" at the holidays for most employees will be $100, which after taxes comes out to about $80. A big deal will be made about the person who gets the highest bonus, because said person works their butt off and is so deserving. This person will get $200 - very poor communication throughout the company; very little transparency - odd inner circle of "global leaders" who are told they can't fraternize with "junior staff." Slightly cult-like. - No concern for work-life balance - Shutdown at holidays but forced to use your PTO days for this

World Manager Response

As Founder and CEO, you can tell by reading all my replies here, I will always call it tight, and if someone posts lies, I will have an honest and upfront reply. I can see a trend with the few negative reviews we get a year. They are always from the staff who were the lowest performers or the biggest drain on the culture of the company. You young lady, who wrote this review are no exception. You were flown from Dallas Texas to Sydney Australia for a 10 day all expenses paid trip to learn from our head office when you started. From the month you returned you became the biggest dark cloud we have had in our office since we opened? You made horrendous false accusations about me as CEO, and when my leadership team did a full investigation, everything you said was false, and you backtracked your statements and attitude blaming it all on your 'personal problems' in your life, and you grocery list of 'issues' you had going on in your head. Not one other person in our company would say they are micromanaged or 'live in fear' of the CEO, or that I have mood swings. But because Glassdoor allows anonymous reviews, you get to make up whatever lies you want and post them with out retribution.... much like the accusations you falsely made while working in our company. In any large company, the only employees that get micromanaged are the employees that are being performance managed because they are such poor performers. You never hit a deadline, and never delivered on the creative tasks you were assigned, so our leadership team was forced to follow up on you every day to ensure you made our brands happy in our community. Regarding trust, you earn trust, it is not given. if you cannot ever hit a deadline, you don't get trust and we don't take you for your word anymore. I know exactly who this is because up until the global crisis we had not lost an employee in this office in nearly a year except for this individual. My previous replies here on Glassdoor reflect our policy of internal promotions from within when warranted and a position comes up. This individual who is complaining here was with us for only a few months, and as our worst performer, and biggest troublemaker in the office, what promotion would there be in that period? Regarding bonuses, the review is again completely wrong, and this employee has no idea what our bonus structure is at all. Junior employees employed under a year do get the smallest bonus. bonuses and pay rises increase based on performance as well as tenure in the company. This year we had the privilege of flying two employees and their families or partner to any holiday resort in the world for a 7 night all expenses paid holiday. Our 10 Global Leaders are some of the most talented individuals I have ever had the opportunity to work with. World Manager is lucky to have them, and they certainly would not be called odd... True, our Global Leaders are not allowed to go drinking after work with any junior staff. The Global Leaders run this company and our offices around the world. They do not drink after hours with junior staff, and this is common place in almost any professional company. For all potential employees looking for employment, read all previous reviews, plus the replies and form your own opinions, vs the lies and embellishments made always by the few low performers who cannot deliver, and lose their jobs. Apply for a role, meet the team, and form your own opinions. Looking forward to meeting you. Gary A Valkenburg Founder / CEO
