High expectations for a supermarket - Customer Service Representative Waitrose Employee Review

Standards were incredibly high, the customer is always right even if its costs the business money... promoting the customer to continually behave in such a way. Talking on shift is absolutley not permitted even if you are working within metre of someone else. Regularly scolded for this like a child which was demoralising. Irrespective of how fast and effective you are at your job, being banned from talking was the straw that broke the camels back. Zero career advancement unless you are willing to drop your personal out of work commitments at the drop of a hat to fill in a gap in a rota. This then becomes expected of you.
