Culture of Inclusivity; Company is Growing and Evolving

      Pros

Verisk is filled with humble people that genuinely care about their team members as both professionals and individuals. Whether you work in Underwriting Solutions or Claims Solutions, in the offices in Jersey City, Lehi, or Boston (or even remotely), the culture is positive and you can bring your whole self to work here.

      Cons

Verisk has experienced lots of changes recently. In 2022 alone, a new CEO was appointed and Verisk sold 3 business units to refocus on the insurance industry. I personally view these changes as positive: new products, innovative solutions, and clearer career paths available to employees are examples of positive changes. But change itself can be uncomfortable.

          Pros

Decent, hard working team members overall who want to do a good job

          Cons

Greedy selfish management who have zero regard for the actual time and effort you put in. They have a program to lay off folks and fatten their bonuses. SHAME ON THEM. After significant time given and work with them, they gave 2 weeks stating it was budget cuts. In reality, there are no budget cuts, just greedy fattening of their own bonuses. One word that is not said in corporate but should be- KARMA.

I finished final round interview. Should I send a thank you letter to everyone or only to people where I have something interesting to add on. I interviewed with the hiring manager twice already and sent thank you emails. He never responds, should I even bother to send him one more since we talked again in the final round? HR said I wouldn’t hear back until late next week earliest. It sounds like they still have to wrap up final rounds with other people. I don’t want them to forget me.

I interviewed for a position virtually and in person both interviews went well. I sent my Thank you email and never heard back from the department. They were interested in me and asked me to reach back out to them, it’s surprising they never responded to me.

        Data Engineer

Got a possible interview coming up with Pepsico as a data engineer in the DFW, TX area. It's more towards an entry-beginner type of role. Anyone know what kind of questions I should be expecting in the technical part of the interview?
