Pros

Pays well and some good people work here.. unfortunately, Ushr will lose them due to the culture

Cons

Though labelled as a "start-up" this company relies on old school automotive practices learned decades ago. They are now trying to expand their physical office presence to a "whole floor" and forcing people to come into work 3 days a week to justify the space. They are losing people left and right. They do no training for the job. No concrete goals established to gauge performance. I was told it's important to "be seen" in the office. Also, no career paths or job development.

Pros

A job with paycheck in time

Cons

If you are a H1B visa holder or seeker, please do yourself a favor AVOIDing this company. They let you go without considering your visa status. They will report to USCIS right away with no mercy. So who cares if you are doomed or not, has to leave the country, and go back to India, right?! If you do not have visa issue, Ushr is still a company you want to think twice before join. The experience here is definitely below average compared to my past start up jobs. The other 5 stars reviews are fake review to BAIT NEW HIRES. Read those review carefully, you’ll find those are more likely from managers who do not do the real development work. You have to work overtime like late night or over the weekend. You may think it is fine since this is a startup while it is growing. Well, there is no extra payment for the work. How about personal respect? NO, you can NOT get respect here. Managers enjoy micro-management and do not feel shame to admit it, which they think it is the right way. Oh wait, the best part is acting managers of the company. Some of your co-workers are acting-managers, who think they know more than you, tell you how to do the work, and later do whatever it takes to drag you down and take credits from your hard work. Ushr is just not a place for people who care their career. The future of this place is very unclear. Honestly, They are winning business they can NOT deliver. And you will find you are the one blamed in the end if things go wrong.
