Pros
The client had some interesting problems to solve.
It's a consultancy. It's very salesy. It depends what you are looking for.
Cons
Lack of planning around work.
Clients are given the answers they want to hear, not the answers they should hear - there's a "just make it work" expectation that comes down from above, rather than looking at the causes of an issue or forming a realistic expectation in the client.
Lots of consulting hype.
It's written into the Trideca contract that they do not have to employ you if for some reason there's no work. Weirdly, you interview for a particular client project but end up signing an open ended contract with Trideca that could be potentially without pay. This effectively means there's no meaningful termination clause to their contract so contracting employees are very expendable. It feels like a large temp agency.
It's very hit and miss as to the level of competence of the people you'll be working with.
