Pros

Televerde does meaningful work. We are helping incarcerated women develop job skills and be in a better position to get jobs. Really good heart here.

Cons

Company lost its founder/CEO last year. New CEO is still getting her feet underneath her as this is her first CEO gig. As such, she's not learning from past mistakes or retaining people with important legacy knowledge. The company is going through a phenomenal amount of change, making meaningful budgetary cut-backs, and losing key customers. Priorities and focus is rapidly shifting with weak communication from the execs on rationale and strategy.

Pros

This company took a chance on me when I was at my lowest. They taught me the skills I needed to succeed in my career and genuinely care about your growth and success. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them. My manager, Ashley Cruz, was incredibly supportive—she believed in me, invested in my development, and helped me grow both personally and professionally. I also want to acknowledge Vince Barsolo—he is the kind of leader Televerde has always needed. In my opinion, he should have been CEO years ago.

Cons

There were a lot of meetings and a heavy workload. At times, the stress of the job felt overwhelming. However, that experience pushed me to grow and ultimately prepared me well for my current role. While my new position is less stressful, I now feel equipped to handle whatever challenges come my way.
