Pros
When I started at Telus, I found myself thinking "This is great - I'm going to work here until I retire!". Wages were fair to generous. Raises and promotions were timely.. I worked with a lot of very bright individuals (minimal "dead weight"). The work-life balance was good - I even liked the work
Cons
Well, all good things must come to an end. The perks were pulled back. Raises and promotions dwindled. Most recently, work is being moved overseas. Thousands are being let go. If you're hired here, expect to be competing for your position with people willing to work for a tenth of your salary in some third world country.
