Pros

Free drinks throughout the day.
National living wage for under 25's.
Free bag of coffee/tea at the end of the week.
Good tipping service.
Really friendly staff.
Good hours.

Cons

Occasional rude customers.
Management is strict on hair (But have let me keep my lilac hair c:)
Can be extremely busy (I work in the largest Starbucks in the UK.)
Still learning how to make the perfect coffee.

Advice to Management

The only thing I would say is change the rules regarding the Dress code for hair as some of the staff would prefer a little more colour.

    Pros

Insanely flexible with scheduling, which was great for a college student like me. Free food and drinks while on the job, 30% employee discount for merchandise, and a free box of tea or coffee every week. The more hours you work, the more tip you get. Annual raises. Free company stock.

    Cons

Manager and supervisors make or break the workplace so make sure you have good ones. Avoid working in heavy tourist locations b/c you get 3x the work but 1/2 the tip since most tourist aren't familiar with American tipping. Takes forever for appliances and machines to be fixed if they break; had to work with only one espresso machine for morning rushes occasionally and had a loose sink knob that would fall out every time I had to turn the water on, which could have put me into a mental institution.

    Advice to Management

If it isn't broken, don't fix it.
