Pros

Some of the people are great, strong bonds form here due to all the trauma bonding. Private Health Insurance 10-15 calls a day per person on an average day. Low compared to some other places.

Cons

Classic exploitative workplace. The management is trying to solve the age old problems of the company with increasing the already big pressure on the staff with unachievable KPIs. The service desk is generally chaotic, the workload is not balanced evenly between team members but as long as the job is done the management doesn’t care that some people are over worked while others barely do anything. If you tell them you’re struggling they promise you everything then don’t even try to keep them. Loads of serious issues with HR. They portray a false image, preaching about their amazing culture then anytime a problem comes up they try to solve it by having a go at the staff. On a team meeting HR was pressuring the management to publicly single out low performers which made everyone, including the management uncomfortable and they even told us we should be thankful we still have a job. When upper management is around however, they again show a completely different face. They have a tendency of lying about their own policies. They also have lack of knowledge of employment law (I will give them the benefit of doubt and not say they’re lying about that as well). The service desk is expected to use their mobile phone for work but they don't give you a work phone or compensate you in any way (other than the site analysts), the rest of the company however gets compensation. Ridiculously demanding clients, the number of calls are not too high but they can be very intense. It's a very stressful job in general. If you urgently need a job it’s good enough but for anything long term it’s better to go somewhere else.

Pros

- Free training and bonus program - Wide exposure to technologies - Opportunities to be involved in projects

Cons

- Poor communication and accountability across teams - Workloads are sometimes unachievable with people working way over their hours leading to stress. Team managers were always under immense pressure and stress which filtered down to the wider teams. - Management often appear to seem like they listen, however no actions come to fruition when you feedback to them or they promise something, during the time I was there, there was high turnover of staff - which I believe was a result of this. - Office space was very limited, often we were expected to stay at client sites when even after we'd finished our work there which was very uncomfortable. I'd have to buy things a coffee shops nearby to have somewhere to work, which I was not allowed to claim back. We were constant promised more space for a over a year and it never happened. - A senior management member was often a big cause of a lot of problem, and no matter how many times he was reported nothing was done. Even after a case of him physically threatening another member of staff and committing vile acts in the staff toilets.

Hi There, Thank you for your feedback. We have since made huge changes to our work environment at Sprout. We now have a second office based on Fleet Street(1000sq/feet) , in addition to this we have acquired more office space in our original office in Temple Chambers ; doing this has ensured that all of our staff have an awesome environment. All management, and staff have the opportunity to provide feedback on our new internal portal. Moreover we now have staff surveys every quarter; including 360 reviews. With this information we make action to ensure all parts of our staff's daily experiences are fostering growth, ideas, and collaboration. Moreover, the feedback received from this was instrumental in creating a new on-boarding model, a games room with a PS4, a clearer defined career map to help all staff to map out their career aspirations, to name a few. If you would like any further information on our culture, or would like more info on life at sprout since you left please do feel free to visit our website or contact our dedicated people team at careers@sproutit.co.uk Many Thanks Anthony Head of Human Resources

Pros

Friendly team, good place to gain experience and many learning opportunities. They pay for your exams, and give a small bonus on each exam passed.

Cons

VERY heavy workload! It seems as though there is a high volume of work for everyone at the company, which often leads to people working late on a regular basis, and generally leads to poor work all around. No sensible method of organising work. Work gets done based of which customer shouts the loudest. The customers are generally self important, obnoxious and rude. Lack of responsibility from management, you often find that extra work and responsibilities are pilled on an already overworked team. The out of hours support schedule is ridiculous and remuneration is not sufficient for the hours you end up working. High staff turnover, in the short time I was at the company I saw many members of staff leave, an exceptionally high amount for a small company.
