      You get to attend conference for free :) & that's only source for your learning. Conference are fun time to be in S&S

      Cons

      Main business for S&S is in conferences so for developers & programmers is nothing much or great to learn. You may feel repeative work after a while. Not great learning for software developers. You will end up maintaining conference sites.
