Pros

You get free products each month to ensure you stay up-to-date with the newest/most popular products and have experience with them yourselves. They also often hire fun personalities so easy to meet cool co-workers. Easy to gain lots of experience in makeup/hair/skin/fragrance products so you can upgrade your own game as you work.

Cons

Cons are same as any other retail job. May be forced to interact with less-than-pleasant customers while keeping a smile on your face. Requires a LOT of customer interaction due to color-matching, finding products for customers, running checkout, etc. Not so fun on days when your social battery is low.

Pros

+ monthly training gratis + brand and product training + exposure to working with luxury brands + technology device supplements role

Cons

- unstable hours / unstable income - part-time employee classification has a wide weekly hourly gap (e.g., 15-29 weekly hours) and the availability expectation is that of a full-time (e.g., required to be open 4-5 a week, open to close) - minimal career growth if wanting to become full-time within the same store
