Pros

Extremely tight and committed team. Very transparent decision making - everyone has a say in decisions. Senior leaders encouraging, supportive and seem to insist on dispersed decision making. Sense of working on important issues from a different perspective. Thorough recruitment processes and low levels of turnover. Ability to try new things and to do what is needed without bureaucratic infighting. The best ideas seem to win which is really motivating.

Cons

You won't enjoy working here if you aren't disciplined in managing yourself, and are not willing to adapt, learn and change. Mistakes are fine provided you own them and learn from them. Some people that have left have not been well suited to that type of environment.

Pros

Early-career professionals are given a lot of responsibility, remote work

Cons

Unethical business practices (including lying about capabilities to donors), low salaries for early/mid-career professionals but not for the directors, staff expected to work a lot of overtime, promotions and rewards based on favoritism. Ask about the Hunger Games - leadership asked staff to VOTE for who would remain and who would be laid off. Very dystopian, left many former staff with PTSD. Just one example of the terrible culture. There used to be a lot more negative Glassdoor reviews but the org has apparently paid to have them removed.
